In The Heights Tour - Pantages Review

Image
I know it's a bit late, but if you live in or are going to visit the Los Angeles area go see In The Heights at the Pantages Theatre. No really, go now. I can proudly say that I have seen the musical four times. Twice in New York and twice in Los Angeles. All four times just as great as the time before. Lin-Manuel Miranda (Usnavi) has created a great story, with compelling and unforgettable characters, topped off with some songs and lyrics that will have you singing along in no time. Not to mention it will have you laughing, crying, and thinking throughout the play. It simply is a great musical for the young and old. It has a little something for everyone. I cannot say enough about how much I love In The Heights, so please go see for yourself and let me know what you thought!

Not A Happy Camper

Today was not good. Going to bed. Hope tomorrow is better. Goodnight.

I think i'm addicted

I can't stop playing "words with friends" on my iPhone. It's very addicting and I find myself checking my iPhone a little too often to see if someone I'm playing has taking their turn. This definitely is one of the best iPhone apps out there. My next vice would be the World Cup. Although my heart was crushed when the USA was knocked out I still find myself following the tournament very closely. I can't wait for this weekend to see who will lift the World Cup trophy. Will it be Spain or the Netherlands? The suspense is killing me!

Insanity workout is, well, insane

Image
So I started doing the Insanity DVD's and they really are no joke. 2 signs that these DVD's are for real: 1. during the warm up you get tired and 2. The people, who look like they are in incredible shape, in the DVD are dying and sometimes are just laid out on the floor at the end. I have only done the first 3 DVD's so far but I am working hard to keep up with it. It definitely works you out and I am sore as heck as I'm typing this right now. But at the same time it makes you feel good and feel alive. I can't wait to finish the program and see the results.

Review of the movie "The Reader"

It follows the relationship of Michael Berg (Ralph Fiennes) and his affair with an older woman, Hannah (Kate Winslet) We first meet Michael as a teen getting off a train in Germany and proceeds to get sick on a sidewalk. A kind older woman generously helps him clean himself up and give him a hug. It turns out that Micheal has Scarlet Fever and is bed ridden for months. When he finally recovers he heads back to the place where the stranger had help him to say thanks. That's when his affair with Hannah Schmitz begins. As the affair continues between the two it also evolves. Michael begins to read to Hannah. And she loves it. Until one day Hannah mysteriously disappears. Spoiler Alert Almost a decade later Michael is a law student following a case of some Nazi guards on trial for war crimes committed at a internment camp. Then he hears a familiar voice and realizes Hannah is o...

Christmas is near

Have you seen your favorite Christmas movies yet? I am sad to say that I missed seeing my favorite Christmas movie of all-time in a theater this year. You see there is a theater in Seal Beach California, the bay theatre , that every year shows "It's A Wonderful Life" in all of its big creen glory. Complete with popcorn and candy. Me and my best friend have gone to see it for the past 3 years and have taken other friends along with us. Sadly, this year I messed up and we missed it. But we did watch it at her house and next year I will not miss it again. So if you haven't yet go and watch your favorite Christmas movie! Now! "No man is a failure who has friends"
